Teaching Thursdays: “How Moses Became Charlton Heston: Popular Art and Its Influence on Religious Storytelling”

This Thursday, the Director of Spiritual Development, Greg Knight will explore the formation of the Hollywood biblical epic and the influence that it’s had on American religious thought in the 20th century. From DeMille to Scorsese, filmmakers have been trying to capture the spiritual on celluloid for almost 100 years. How has their pursuit affected religious imagination and assumptions over that time?

Dinner will begin at 6:00 pm followed by the presentation and discussion at 7:00 pm. This is an in-person event that will be recorded and posted on the website for those who are unable to attend.
