For the past several years the Justice Action Ministry of the First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Palm Beaches has authorized a limited number of grants from funds raised by dedicating the plate collection on the third Sunday of each month. This year $3,912.69 was raised for general awards and $664.02 in a dedicated collection for Emergency Medical Assistance. You can financially support our Justice Grants Program with an online donation HERE
The grants of $450 were awarded to not for profit organizations or individuals that address pressing needs in our local community. Organizations with budgets under $250,000 received first priority. Each grant application was submitted by a member or friend of our Congregation who has direct knowledge of the need described. The member or friend who submitted the application is responsible for providing documentation that the money was spent appropriately.
