We’ll be starting the six-session discussion course, Seeing Systems: Peace, Justice, & Sustainability by Ecochallenge.org on September 30, at 7 PM, meeting once a month on Zoom (Worship on Zoom link). The course book can be purchased as a paperback or downloaded as a PDF here for $30. Session One is available free here. Please contact Suzanne if you have any issues getting the book (at this email or cell: 561-281-3350). There is an online interactive component to this discussion course should we choose to do it together or some people on their own with action challenges for each session.
Excerpt from the Introduction:
“As humans have increased our impact on the planet, we have set up our society in such a way that we’re all more interdependent than ever before, but our sense of disconnection has grown at the same time. We’ve overlaid complex industrial, trade, transportation and economic systems over already complex biological and ecological systems. And they don’t always work together — in fact, many times, they directly oppose each other….
Recognizing the interconnected systems of our world can be difficult, but it can also be a joyous and empowering realization — through these networks of relationships, people power can expand and together, we can make a real difference for good.“ — Lacy Cagle, Editor and Director of Learning
