We share the sad news… of the death of member Nancy Sollitto, who died on Sept 15th at age of 91.

Nancy was born in 1929 in Oak Park, IL and attended Grinnell College, Purdue University and Ursuline College. Nancy was a long-time resident of the Cleveland, Ohio area. She loved tennis, travel, gardening, politics and dancing.

Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Collins; her sister, Joan Spalding and three husbands; Ben Sollitto, B. Robert Peskin and Joseph Bender. Ben had also been a member at 1stUUPB. Nancy was a beloved mother of her daughter Joan Bender Rice and Margaret Collies, both of North Palm Beach, FL, Garry Bender of Fort Worth, TX and Robert Peskin of Basking Ridge, NJ. She was also the dear step mother of Sharmon, Dorian, Stewart and Jordan Sollitto as well as “Nana” to fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19, a Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held at a date and time to be determined. She asked that gifts in her honor be made to 1stUUPB.
