We mourn together as a community as we pass along news of the death of Marjorie “Marge” Knox, who was 90 when she passed away on Thanksgiving Day in Fernandina Beach, FL.

Marge was from Palm Beach Gardens, FL. and was staying with her daughter in Fernandina Beach at the time of her death. She was a long-time member of this Congregation.

She was predeceased by her husband, G. Richard Knox; a sister, Audrey Leopold and a brother Robert Manes.

Survivors include her son, Rick Knox of Satsuma, FL; four daughters, Terrie Galligar of Fernandina Beach, FL and Carolyn Cooper (George), Midge Barron (Jerry) and Shawna Giacomini (Louis), all of Charlotte, NC. She also was survived by her sister, Ruth Weizenbaum of Amherst, MA as well as 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Mrs. Knox was an avid golfer and played the piano. She loved her family and was a devoted, mother and grandmother. While a member of our congregation, she was very active in our Small Group Ministry as well as other activities.

There will be a private family ceremony.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Nassau County Council on Aging, Community Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
