Mr. Ruiz is a former Muslim chaplain with the U.S. Navy. Currently he works as the Communications Director for CAIR-Florida -Council for American-Islamic Relations-Florida – the State’s largest Muslim Civil Rights organization. He lives in south Florida with his wife and college-aged children; and is passionate about nature, and interfaith dialogue and understanding.
