One year and five days ago, Officer Derek Chauvin, knelt on George Floyd’s neck for 8:46. George Floyd died. The police officer was not charged. The whole incident was recorded. They say it changed the country. One can only hope.

MOTHER’S DAY

It’s Mother’s Day. One of the most complex holidays of the whole year, celebrating one of the most selfless acts possible for a human to take. We will lean into that love as we celebrate this day.

13 SECONDS: 51 YEARS AFTER KENT STATE

Fifty One Years Ago this Tuesday, the Ohio National Guard after trying to disperse a crowd of student protesters at Kent State, turned toward the crowd and opened fire. Thirteen seconds later, four protestor were dead and nine were wounded. Can we still hear the gunshots?

We celebrate the outgoing and the incoming slate of leaders. The outgoing leaders, with whom we all learned about Zoom meetings and interim ministry, and the incoming leaders who will be brining us into this 2021-22 (hopefully) post-pandemic “new-normal”.
