Yoga in the Sanctuary

1stUUPB is happy to share this life-changing practice with its members, friends and members of the larger community as a way of advancing our mission of transforming lives through liberal religious community.

Chair Yoga: Tuesdays 10am-11am (Leader, Amy Stauber)
Using the support of a chair for both seated and standing postures, students will be guided through a sequence of stretching, strengthening, and breathing exercises. Chair yoga is a gentle, meditative practice that develops body awareness and helps to build and maintain range of motion. It also makes yoga accessible for those with mobility issues and injuries.

Yoga Basics: Thursdays 10am-11am (Leader, Amy Stauber) (CURRENTLY ON HIATUS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE)
Practice fundamental postures of yoga from seated, standing, and reclined positions. All postures will be presented for beginner, intermediate, and more advanced students. Please bring your own yoga mat to class.

Recommended Donation: $10

Preparation for Class:
Please come to class well hydrated and make sure it has been at least two hours since your last substantial meal. Wear comfortable clothing, preferably made of stretchy fabric.
